Anonymous asked: ive been self harming for a while now and i want to stop, i just cant. please help, you two seem like you know a lot about cutting so i wanted to know if you could help me?

Of course we can. Well first you need to tell someone you trust. Whether it’s just a friend that you trust or an adult. I’m proud of you though because although you came to us anonymously, you still came for help. That’s an awesome first step. Telling someone is going to be the hardest part of this whole process, I promise. Once they know, then they can get you into therapy to target the reason why you started cutting yourself in the first place. By figuring out the reason that you started, you can change that aspect in your life and hopefully stop harming yourself because you are stronger than that. You can do it and if you ever need any help with anything we’re always here to help.

“without treatment, many who begin cutting themselves as teens will continue the behavior well into their adult years.”

One of our best friends harms herself and we wanted to get this around to show her that people care and that she is worthy.

Please help guys. It’s getting really serious and she needs the support.
